NPP Deputy Communications Director, Mame Yaa Aboagye has asked the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stop wasting their energies on fighting against the compilation of a new voters’ register by the Electoral Commission.
She urged the opposition party to rather concentrate on “compiling lies into their green book”.
Her comments come in the wake of “Y3npini” demonstration by opposition parties in Kumasi.
Clad in red attire, members of the Inter-Party Resistance against the New Voters Register hit the streets of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region Tuesday, 21 January 2020, to register their distaste about the EC’s decision to compile a new voter’s register.

This is the second in a series of demonstrations planned by the group made up of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), the People’s National Convention (PNC) and other parties.
Reacting on Peacefmonline.com, Mame Yaa Aboagye says the NDC should leave the EC to make its own decision on the matter.
“EC is an independent entity. The President of the land is even not in a position to influence their decision…What is the NDC so much afraid of about the change of the voters’ register or is there something they are not telling us?” she quizzed.
