The managing editor for the Daily Democrat newspaper and member of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC communication team, Emmanuel Opare Djan has added his voice to the upcoming NPP primaries and has revealed that nobody in the NPP would contest the presidential primaries with Nana Addo because the economy is not favourable and people can’t afford the cost involved.

According to the experienced analyst, the people are broke to contend with Nana Addo, contrary to the view that his achievements are enormous to beat any contender.

In a studio discussion on the susubiribi morning show on Radio 1 100.7fm on Tuesday, 28th January 2020, Opare Djan told the host Nana Kwabena Addo that he would be surprised if anyone contests the president.

“Nana I agree with the Greater Accra regional secretary that no one would contest Nana Addo. Yes no one will contest him, not on any grounds but because the economy is so hard that people can’t afford the cost involved. The economy is so hard that only the president can meet the monetary requirements of NPP presidential aspirants”- Opare Djan said.
