Sammy Gyamfi Arrest: For Once CID Has Been Professional – Baba Jamal

Former law maker for Akwatia constituency and a member of the NDC legal team Baba Jamal has for once lauded the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the country for acting professionally in the arrest of the national communication officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Sammy Gyamfi.
According to the politician cum legal practitioner, though Sammy Gyamfi was arrested, no one was tortured.
He made these revelations on Tuesday 28th January 2020 in a phone interview with the host, (Nana Kwabena Addo) of the susubiribi morning show on Radio 1 100.7fm when briefing the public and listeners what really led to the arrest of the National communication officer.
“Sammy Gyamfi was picked at the the premises of UTV by CID and the party executives, lawyers and members had to go there. Though we went in our numbers, no one was tortured or hurt. For once they acted professionally,” – Baba Jamal alluded.

However, he said this kind of intimidation must stop since the party is focussed on the 2020 elections and will never be moved by the oppressions of NPP.
When asked as to what led to his arrest, he revealed that a post allegedly attributed to Sammy Gyamfi on social media frowned on Nana Asante Bediatuo, a secretary at the presidency in December 2019.
Meanwhile Sammy Gyamfi has been granted bail and asked to report at the CID office once a week.
