Even as a majority of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP members are campaigning with the slogan: 4 More for Nana, 4 more to do more likewise for the incumbent NPP MPs, Cudjoe Kafui Amegah, a parliamentary candidate aspirant in Atiwa East constituency in the eastern region differs and advocates for change in Atiwa East constituency, with regards to their parliamentary candidate and calls for retirement of Hon. Abena Osei Asare.

According to him, a lot needs to be done to develop Atiwa East but he thinks the incumbent MP has exhausted the strategies and therefore the need to retire her in 2020.

In a studio discussion with Nana Kwabena Addo, host of susubiribi morning show on Radio 1 100.7fm on Tuesday 4th February, 2020, Mr Cudjoe Kafui Amegah clearly stated without mincing words that Atiwa east needs four more years for Nana to do more but the 8 years is enough for Abena Osei Asare.

” This is the first time i’m contesting. If God permits, Atiwa East Parliamentary seat will be in safe hands of Cudjoe Amegah. We say 4 more for Nana to do more but 8 years is enough for Abena to go. I won’t sit here and bring the name of the seat i want to climb into disrepute but what i’ll say is our sister has done her part. I think everyone has his/her strength and she has reached her limit but Atiwa East needs transformation because her transformation is not enough”,- Cudjoe Amegah revealed.

The entrepreneur and Agriculture inclined, Cudjoe Amegah added that the major occupation in Atiwa is farming and there is the need to focus more on Agriculture in Atiwa and stop activities that destroy Atiwa land.

“I feel her transformation is not enough to get us to the level we want to get to. Like developing Agriculture in Atiwa. Like bringing mining into the top scale that we are looking for in Atiwa and not destroying our lands. Atiwa East need a transformational leader and Cudjoe Amegah is the right person to do that”,- Cudjoe Amegah said

Moreover, he added that his administration will focus on teaching the constituents how to fish and not giving them fish.

According to him, despite all the five aspirants in Atiwa East, he is much convinced that surely, come what may, Cudjoe Amegah would win the priamaries.

NPP has set April 25 2020 for their Parliamentary Priamaries and National Congress to elect their flagbearer and their Parliamentary candidate aspirants.
