The Herald Newspaper has been given 7 days ultimatum to retract and apologise to a publication in the same paper on 11th February 2020 which was captioned; ‘Fugitive Caught In NPP Parliamentary Primaries – Wanted in Sierra Leone For Fraud’.
The council for Cudjoe Kafui Amegah, a parliamentary candidate aspirant in the Atiwa east district has written to the Herald’s News editor to as a matter of urgency retract the story written about their client and also apologise since none of the accusations are true.
According to the writ, the story has brought an indictment on the party as a whole and also has denigrated his character, reputation, credibility and public’s image.
According to the writ, the Herald Newspaper should have also called for his side of the speculations before publishing it.

That not alone the publication gas caused his family, and him huge embarrassment and reputation loss.
Cudjoe Kafui Amegah revealed that Eclipse Microfinance Company in Sierra Leone does not owe anybody and that the company has fully paid all their customers and does not see relevance of the story and therefore calls for retraction.
Cudjoe Kafui Amegah is one of the fiercest aspirants among the five aspirants in the Atiwa East Constituency including the incumbent who doubles as the deputy finance minister.
