NPP Primaries: President Of Psychiatric Association Of Ghana Files Nomination To Contest Atiwa East Seat

A specialist Psychiatrist and Hospital director of Pantang Hospital, who doubles as the President of Psychiatric Association of Ghana, Dr Frank Baning, has on Wednesday, February 19 2020, filed his nomination to contest for the parliamentary candidate slot in Atiwa East constituency in the eastern region on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP.

Accompanied with teeming supporters and party faithfuls, Dr Frank Baning a native of Adasawase, expressed his utmost gratitude to the supporters and delegates and to the party executives for ensuring a fair play from picking the forms to filing.

In an interview with Radio1News after filing the forms, he confidently stated that the party thrives on unity in nation building and his outfit would follow suit in ensuring that they serve the constituency and Ghana as a whole in peace, unity, love and patience.

“If you look at our slogan, ‘a united Atiwa, leaving no one behind’. I believe it’s a calling to serve, and we will serve with love, oneness, and patients. We will ensure development in togetherness”- Dr Frank Baning revealed.

Moreover, he assured the constituency of his unflinching support to uplift the image of the constituency and promised to stay away with politics of insults but engage in politics based on ideas.

He further stated that when given the mandate to lead, his focus would be on education, health, and job creation.

“We would make sure no one is left out in my tenure. We are going to focus on education. We are going to focus on health. We are going to focus on jobs. It would be like the harvest time”- Dr Frank Baning added.

In all his submissions, he sought for the grace of God to make his visions come to pass.

Dr Frank Baning is a native of Adasawase in the Atiwa East district in the eastern region. He is a specialist in Psychiatrist and Hospital Director of Pantang hospital. Dr Baning as he’s affectionately called, holds a chevener scholarship award, a former chairperson of the Pantang polling station and former constituency Patron of Madina Abokobi constituency. He is the President of the Psychiatric Association of Ghana.

Dr Frank Baning is an old boy of St Peters Secondary School and also completeted the University of Ghana Medical School. He furthered his education and was equipped with informed former education at the King’s College, London.

In all, 5 aspirants including the incumbent MP and deputy minister of finance are contesting for the enviable seat.
