Atiwa West: Road Minister Organises Free Health Outreach For His Constituents

The member of Parliament for Atiwa West constituency in the eastern region, who doubles as the road and highways minister in Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo’s led NPP administration, Hon. Kwesi Amoako Atta has on 7th March, 2020 organised a free health screening and medication for the constituents in Atiwa West constituency.

The most awaited program took place at Abomosu, one of the communities in the Atiwa west district.

The program was well attended by citizens in Abomosu and its environs. About 1,250 made it to the program dubbed ‘Free Health Outreach.

The well prepared and experienced team from a non governmental organisation, Lovinghearts GC International graciously provided the following services; Screening for malaria, Typhoid & Hepatitis B, Free Eye Screening and provision of free reading glasses, free dietician consult on diabetes, and hypertension, free BP and BMI check,etc.

In an interview with the coordinator for the outreach, Nana Ayimadu of Abomosu, he disclosed to Radio1News that the program is fully sponsored by the hon. Road minister and MP, hon. Kwesi Amoako Atta.

According to him, Hon. Amoako Atta took the initiative to provide health support for the constituents especially the poor and needy, the aged invalids, and other individuals who are deprived.

Participants also expressed their gratitudes to the organisers and assured their readiness to re-elect Hon. Amoako Atta in the upcoming December 7 general election and prayed that he continues to do same for them in the coming years.

Hon. Kwesi Amoako Atta has been the member of Parliament for Atiwa west since 2010 and is now seeking for reelection even as the eastern regional vetting committee has cleared him to run unopposed in the April 25 parliamentary primaries.
