In the wake of fighting the pandemic covid-19 globally, the chief of Akyem Sagyimase in the Abuakwa south municipality in the eastern region, Barima Okrupi Obotuo Dankwa could not hide his joy as he described the National chairman of the opposition NDC, Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo as their second God for donating supplies needed to fight the novel coronavirus.
He made these revelations owing to the fact that since the outbreak of the pandemic, the community has not received anything intended to promote hygiene and prevent the covid-19 except from Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.
Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo on thursday April 2, 2020 donated hygiene protocol supplies to three communities in the Abuakwa South municipality. The items distributed on his behalf included but not limited to Veronica buckets with their stands, Disposable towels/tissues, Gallons of hand sanitisers, liquid soaps and bowls for containing the sewage. Communities/towns that benefitted from the donation are Akyem Adukrom, Akyem Asikam and Sagyimase, all in the municipality.
“This is unprecedented, since the oubreak no one has donated anything to us. We accept them. He has shown and demonstrated the love and compassion he has for us. We are grateful and i will relay to my subjects what he has done for us so after the end of the outbreak people will realise that after God showing us mercies, the next is Hon. Ofosu Ampofo” – Barima Okrupi Obotuo Dankwa said when receiving the items on behalf of the community.

“I am not suprised by this act because he is noted for doing more for the community. i was telling the youth how he has helped the community. Every good thing in this community is done by Ofosu Ampofo. He gave us light, our public toilet was constructed by him, he did our road, built our school. God bless him. Tell him we’re with him everyday” – Baffour Kyereh Koranteng disclosed.
