Preparation to fight Covid-19
When asked whether the district is overwhelmed with their preparation so far he disclosed that they are preparing for the worse.
“Reference to news from other places, i don’t think there is a health centre that can boldly say they are fully prepared to fight this disease but i can say we have rolled out programs to build the confidence of the essential health workers and also urge the general public to enhance their hygiene protocols. Our aim is that we step up our preparation as we prepare for the worse but hope for the future.” – Dr Benedict Bekoe added.
Moreover, he appealed to the general public to further come to their aid with other medical supplies such as gloves, face masks, rubber aprons, infrared thermometers, etc. to help them fight coronavirus.
Eastern region has recorded 32 confirmed cases.
