Covid-19: Cape Coast Joins Greater Accra To Enforce Mandatory Wearing Of Face Masks

The Central regional Capital, Cape Coast has now joined the Greater Accra region to enforce “No Face mask, No Entry” initiative after recording its 9th coronavirus case in the region.

In a release from from Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly, CCMA, sighted by bbcnewsghana, on 24th April 2020, in an attempt to ensure compliance with the directive of H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the president of the republic of Ghana on wearing of face masks to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, management of Cape Coast directs that all public and private institutions ensure the wearing of face masks by all staff and visitors.

“Management of CCMA advises all public and private institutions including hospitals, clinics, shops, banks, pharmacies, lorry stations among others to put notices of NO FACE MASK, NO ENTRY,” the statement said.

About a few day ago, the Greater Accra regional Coordinating Council also brought out a release which also was to enforce ‘No Face mask, No Entry’.

It is therefore undoubtedly that the whole nation would be put on ‘No face Mask, No Entry.’
