Covid-19 Case Count: One Hot Meal Distribution A Factor – Fomer Regional Minister

Hon. Mrs Mavis Ama Frimpong, former eastern regional minister under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama led NDC administration who doubles as the parliamentary candidate for Birim North Constituency in the eastern region has has revealed that her fear is in the rate at which the cases of covid-19 are escalating in Ghana.

According to the former minister who doubles as a health professional, the modus operadi in distributing food to the poor and vulnerable rather than containing the case.

In an a studio interview with Mavis Ama Frimpong in a local television station stated that the ministry that spearheaded the initiative failed us.

“My fear as a development person is that one hot meal government shared turned to increase the rate of infection. I was asking that what has the president done in the three years that Ghanaians are hungry?” – Mavis Ama Frimpong quizzed.

She later said the nation need to do proper planning before we can mitigate the effects of the deadly coronavirus pandemic in that the approach is beyond only meeting.

Moreover, the confident mother said the implementation of the one hot meal a day should have been properly planned to avert the effects and spread of the pandemic.
