Though the district has not yet recorded a confirmed case, the DCE revealed that there are plans to intensify sensitisation in the district.

In a phone interview with Obido Nana Gyasi of Radio1News, the district chief executive seemed content with the adherance of the public gathering directive by the churches but was quick to show his discontent with the drinking spots even as they have made provisions to extend the education to market places and ensure social distances in the market.

“We are still on the education. We have been to the market places to sensitize them and given them hand sanitizers and have made them aware that from Saturday we will ensure the social distancing in their markets. We have also made provisions with the police to mount barriers to check the social distances in cars especially the passenger cars. Again, we have asked the ‘okada’ riders to stop working to ensure we deal with Covid-19”- Hon. Ntori Adjabeng said.
