Covid-19: Road Minister Donates PPEs and Other Hygiene Enhancing Essentials To Atiwa West Health Directorate

The road minister and member of parliament for Atiwa West constituency in the eastern region, Hon. kwasi Amoako Atta has presented two consignments of personal protection equipments (PPEs) and other essentials needed in enhancing hygiene protocols to the Atiwa West district health directorate in aid of fighting the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.
The donations include hundreds of Veronica buckets, Hand sanitisers, liquid soaps/antiseptics, disposable towels/tissues, and other PPEs.
Receiving the items on behalf of the health directorate, the district health director, Dr Benedict Richard Bekoe thanked the honorable minister and urged other stakeholders to follow suit even as he said various stakeholders and the district assembly have taken the lead.
In an interview with Radio1News, Dr Bekoe emphasized on their readiness to fight the disease even as they are still waiting for confirmation from the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research on 10 suspected cases from the district.

He used the opportunity to advise the general public to play their respective roles in this fight.
“The MP for Atiwa west has presented to the health directorate two consignments of donations. First one was 100 Veronica buckets with their stands, hand sanitisers. The second one he brought Veronica buckets, liquid soaps, tissues PPE packs to be distributed to all the 19 health centres”
“This Covid-19 is real so all must come on board and play their part even as we parepare for the worse but hope for the best” -Dr Bekoe said.
As at the time of filing this post, the eastern region had recorded 32 confirmed cases and 566 in Ghana as a whole.
