Dr Daniel Amaning Danquah, an NPP parliamentary candidate aspirant has once again donated medical supplies worth ₵9,000 to the district assembly to help fight coronavirus.
The items which include infrared thermometers are to be distributed to the following facilities within the district;
Saamang Health Center
Bomdwen CHPs
Bosuso health centre
Hemang CHPs
Ehiamenkyene CHPs
Nkankama CHPs
Dr Amaning used the opportunity to advise the general public, particularly the citizenry of fanteakwa south to enhance their hygiene protocols and also avoid stigmatization.
“I presented 6 infrared thermometers and two gallons on hand sanitizers to compliment the earlier donation to the health directorate so that the remaining health centres and CHP compounds in fanteakwa south would also benefit from the donation so they can be well prepared in attending to patients so as to help them prevent and control the coronavirus spread. Let no one stigmatize anyone. If health workers are tracing contacts, let them not feel we are abandoning them. If that happens they would feel rejected and some may even hide themselves even if they experience covid-19 symptoms till a majority of the household is infected.” Dr Amaning stated.

He added that being infected with covid-19 does not mean you will die at all cost. According to him, it’s like contracting malaria and there is a way out for recovery.
The district chief executive, DCE, for fanteakwa south, Hon. Ntori Adjabeng received the items on behalf of the district. He acknowledged the importance of the items received and at the time of phone interview with Obido Nana Gyasi of Radio1News he revealed they have even started distributing them to the health centres and the other CHP compounds.
Hon. Ntori Adjabeng used the opportunity to appeal to the general public especially the natives of fanteakwa south to as well come to their aid in provisoin of additional PPEs to enable the district fight the deadly pandemic.
“Dr Amaning has given us 6 six gun thermometers to be disbursed to the other health centres. We thanked him for the benevolence and as i speak we have given that of Bosuso, Ehiamenkyene, Bepoase to them and i would use this opportunity to appeal to the general public and natives of fanteakwa south to follow suit and come to our aid. We need more of the gun thermometers, PPEs, nose masks, gloves, and other essentials needed for the fight” – DCE appealed.

This donation is to supplement the earlier one he presented to the district health directorate late last month which included hand sanitisers, Veronica bucket, hand gloves, infrared thermometers, etc.
