Covid-19: Central Region Case Count Overtakes Eastern Region As Total Case Hits 5,408

Central region has astronomically increased the total number of Covid-19 case counts to overtake eastern region as the third most hit region in Ghana as they confirm 192 cases against 99 for eastern region.

For a while now, many Ghanaians were calling for the lockdown of eastern region as it consistently followed Greater Accra, and Greater Kumasi as the most hit regions in Ghana but Central region has after 24 hours overtaken eastern region.

Covid-19 confirmed cases keep escalating after each new day in Ghana, with the newsest statitistics being 5,408 confirmed cases, 514 recoveries and 24 death recorded.

Greater Accra has recorded the most cases of 4147, followed by Ashanti region – 726, Central region – 192 and eastern region – 99 respectively.

The rest are:

Western region – 61 Oti – 24

western north – 56 Upper West – 21

Volta – 34 Northern region – 19

Upper East – 26 North East – 2

Bono region has on the other hand recorded 1 case leaving Savannah region, Ahafo region and Bono east as the only three regions without confirmed cases.
