Covid-19: Frontline Health Workers Of Noguchi Threaten Strike Over Unpaid Incentives

The frontline health workers at the Noguchi Memorial Medical research Institute in Ghana have threatened to go on strike over unpaid incentives promised by the president.
According to sources within the Noguchi Memorial Institute for medical research responsible for testing patients for the deadly coronavirus pandemic, the presidential package as announced some weeks back has ever since not been paid.
It was however, revealed that the frontline health workers would be given a daily allowance of GHS 200 daily but the way authorities are handling the payment, workers of Noguchi feel they are left out of discussion and are not in the known of when they would be paid.
Moreover, the aggrieved health workers give the president and government up to monday to fulfil their promises else they will lay down their tool.

Meanwhile the minister of health has appealed to the frontline health workers to exercise patient for government is in process of delivering on the promises.
Ghana has so far recorded 5530 confirmed cases of Covid-19, 674 recoveries and 24 death.
