Covid-19: NDC Donates Relief Food Items And PPEs To Saviour Church And Hospital

The National Democratic Congress, NDC, led by the national chairman, Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has donated hundreds of relief food items and personal protection equipments to the Saviour church and hospital respectively in the Abuakwa north municipal assembly in the eastern region.

Items donated include 100 boxes of packed relief food items, 40 packs of mineral water, 500 pieces of nose masks, Gallons of Acohol based hand sanitisers, PPEs and Liquid soaps.

Speaking on behalf of the flag-bearer John Dramani Mahama, the chairman of the party, Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo made it clear that the former president sends them with the package to the mission church and hospital in the wake of the deadly coronavirus pandemic to ease some effects that may be at hand.

“Our flag-bearer, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama is focused on distributing relief items to the citizens in this pandemic. He started during the lockdown especially in the Ashanti region and the Greater Accra region where he donated to churches and mosques and today he sends us to Saviour Church and you know his relation with saviour church. From here, we will going to the hospital to deliver some personal protection equipments, PPEs to them.” – Chairman Ofosu Ampofo revealed.

He added that the 100 boxes of the package are composed of rice, Cooking oil, tin fish, tin tomatoes, and noodles.

He thus used the opportunity to advise the general public to as a matter of urgency intensify the mitigating directives from the ministry of health and the Ghana health services in the fight against the novel Covid-19 pandemic.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Saviour church, Opanyin Abraham Adusei, General superintendent expressed his profound gratitude to the donors and asked for God’s blessings on them.

However, he assured them his outfit will see to equally disbursing them at the right time to benefit all members of the mission.

Ghana has so far recorded 7768 confirmed cases, 35 death and 2540 recoveries.
