The former president of the republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama who doubles as the flag-bearer of the largest opposition party in Ghana, the National Democratic Congress, NDC has disclosed that it was deliberate on the part of government not to put into operation the Bank hospital and the University of Ghana Medical Centre as well as discontinuing ongoing projects in the then NDC administration.
He added that there are several projects the government of Ghana deliberately cited strange reasons in internationalizing and continuing them.
Speaking in his digital conversation on Health care and infrastructure, John Dramani Mahama who looked not happy with the approach of tackling the pandemic, disclosed how many health workers need to buy their own PPEs and those who could not afford put their lives at risk in seeking the welfare of Ghanaians.
However, he enumerated a few few of the projects he believes the government of Ghana has deliberately abandoned with strange excuses.

“There were a number of health facilities which were not completed by the time we left office only required a little more efforts to complete. The natural expectation therefore was that the succeeding government will swing into action and have them completed and press on make even further investments in the sector. It was also thought that those that were completed at the time would be operationalised into use in whose names and whose benefits the facilities were built. A classic case in point is the University of Ghana Medical Centre”
“The pressure on the existing health facilities and health workers would have been less” – he added.
