The Paramount Chief of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin II, has today May 4 2020 donated ₵100,000.00 to the Covid-19 trust fund.
The spokesperson, Osabarima Ayimadu Kantamanto, Chief of Kwabeng who doubles as the Gyaasehene of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area, made this on behalf of his royal majesty, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin.
Speaking to the press at the Ofori Panin fie, Kyebi, Osabarima Ayimadu Kantamanto said the Paramount Chief is ready to help fight the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
At a ceremony to donate food, sanitisers, rice, and other relief items to the cabinet chiefs on the land to further distribute to the health facilities and the vulnerable, the poor and the handicapped in the various communities, he made the pronouncement.

Present at the palace were Okyenhene Ankobeahene, Oseawuo manhene, Kyebi Chief, Apapam chief and other subchiefs to witness the program.
He used the opportunity to advise the general public especially the Akyem citizenry to practice what is necessary to stay safe.
A week ago the Okyenhemaa and the Akyem Abuakwa Queen mother’s association also donated to the various queen mothers in the communities to equally disbursement to the members towards fighting Covid-19 pandemic.
