Covid-19: Eastern Region Case Count Reaches 400, 5th Most Hit Region In Ghana

As the national case counts of the deadly coronavirus hits 14,568 in Ghana, eastern region is not spared and for recording 400 cases representing 2.75% of the total case counts.

Though a majority of the reported cases have recovered, the nation is still battling with 3,566 active cases after recording 95 death after 3 months of the outbreak. About 96 health workers in the region have contracted the disease after 619 personnel were tested. Greater Accra is most hit with 8,407 cases representing 57.70% where Ashanti region follows with 2,867 cases representing 19.68%. The regional breakdown of the cases even as all the 16 regions have confirmed cases are as follows;

The fight is still on as government through the president advises the nation to obey the necessary protocols recommended to mitigate the effects of the deadly novel Covid-19.
