Covid-19: Ghana, 4th Most Hit In Africa With 4th Least Active Cases Among The First 10 Countries

It has not been easy for the past three months for Ghana, as the fight against the deadly coronavirus pandemic has introduced a lot of dynamics in our day to day activities.

While some live in fear of contracting the disease, others have lost their jobs due to the outbreak of the novel Covid-19 pandemic. It started in Ghana with slow rate of transmission but has now astronomically jumped such that Ghana now is the 4th most hit country in Africa recording 14,154 confirmed cases trailing South Africa , Eqypt and Nigeria which have recorded 97, 302 cases, 55,223 cases and 20, 244 respectively.

However, the recovery rates for the first 10 most hit countries in Africa also need to be talked about even as Ghana has the fourth least active cases in the continent. Morocco, 7th most hit with 9,977 confirmed cases has the least active cases now with 1,479 cases after 8,284 recoveries followed by Senegal, 10th most hit country with 7,492 confirmed cases now battles with 1,885 active cases after 3,919 recoveries. Algeria, 6th most hit with 11,771 confirmed cases is also battling with 2,504 active cases after discharging 8,422 recovered patients. Ghana, 4th most hit country in Africa is also the 4th country among the top ten countries with least active cases of 3, 596 to battle with.

Africa has so far recorded 309, 330 cases, 8,148 total deaths, 148, 863 recoveries and battling with 152,289 active cases.
