I Will Be The Last Person To Put The Lives Of ‘Akufo-Addo Graduates’ At Risk – Prez Assures Parents

The president of the republic of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged parents to stay calm as his outfit will do everything possible to protect students from the deadly coronavirus pandemic, even as school reopens today.
According to him, there are a number of steps put in place to provide all the necessary protocols to provide safety for the students while in school.
His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo – Addo disclosed this in his 12th address to the nation on measures to address the effects of Covid – 19.
He revealed that final year SHS students together with the second year gold track students go back to school to complete their syllabus and eventually write their final exams.

“Like their seniors at the university, SHS 3 students will be in school for a total of six (6) weeks, before sitting for WASSCE exams over a period of two (2) weeks. SHS two (2) Gold track students who are returning to complete their first semester like their Green Track colleagues have done, will be in school for six (6) weeks, before going on vacation.” – President said.
Moreover, he added that provisions are made by the Akufo-Addo led NPP government to absorb the WASSCE examination fees of about 313,837 SHS 3 students who will sit for the exam. He revealed that GHS 75.4 million will be spent on them and assured parents and guardians that he, Nana Akufo-Addo would be the last person to put the lives of the students at risk.
“I take this opportunity to assure all parents and guardians that government is determined to protect the lives of the 800,000 students, teachers, and no-teaching staff, who will be returning to school. I will be the last person to the lives of the ‘Akufo-Addo graduates’ at risk” – Prez added.
The outbreak of the coronavirus temporarily halted almost every activity of the land and for that matter all schools were closed down for safety sake.
