A former General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG), Rev. Dr Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong has suggested to his fellow pastors not to use the opportunity of going back to worship in churches to sell Covid-19 anointing products, but rather focus on prayers to ease the effects of the deadly novel coronavirus pandemic.

According to him, before the closure of churches, some churches and specific pastors used to sell anointing oils for deliverance, healing and cures and therefore necessary to draw their attention to the fact that the nation is not in normal times and so must desist from going back to their normal ways.

Rev. Dr Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong stated clearly that pastors must not go back to sell Covid-19 anointing oil, Covid-19 spiritual water, Covid-19 healing cream and the rest.

“I must commend the exercise Hon. Ken Agyapong is doing on churches now to sanitize the churches. But going back to church i urge my fellow pastors not to go there and sell anointing oils, creams, water, et al for healing Covid-19” – Rev. Dr Kwabena Opuni – frimpong advised.
