Covid-19: Ghana President In Two weeks Self Isolation Effective July 4 2020

In the wake of the deadly coronavirus pandemic, the first gentleman of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been advised to go into self isolation for a minimum of 14 days i.e. two weeks.
This is as a result of a close member in the circle of the president tested positive for the novel Covid-19 pandemic.
This was revealed in a letter from the ministry of information signed by the information minister, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah dated July 4 2020.
Though the letter revealed the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as of now tests negative, upon advise from Doctors, he has elected to self quarantine for 14 days.

“On the advice of doctors, the president of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is from today July 4 2020, taking a fourteen (14) day precautionary self isolation measure in compliance with Covid-19 protocols. The president has elected to do so after at least one person within his close circle tested positive for Covid-19 today.” – the letter reads.
It was however revealed that the president will henceforth work from home at the presidential villa, Jubilee house.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is in self isolation though tested negative as of today.
The deadly novel Covid-19 has claimed 117 including ranks and files of politicians, health workers, the noble etc and therefore the reminds the general populace to comply with the necessary protocols.
Ghana has so far recorded close to 20,000 cases of the deadly virus.
