Covid-19: Ghana Records 1,455 New Cases In Just 48 Hours, Case Counts Jump To 20,087 With 122 Death

The total case counts of the novel Covid-19 pandemic in Ghana reaches 20,807 after recording 1,455 new cases in 48 hours as at July 5 2020, the highest the nation has recorded so far.
On July 4 2020, 758 new cases were recorded and on July 5 2020, 697 new cases were confirmed . Out of the total 20,087 confirmed cases, 14,870 have recovered and discharged while 122 souls are lost.
Ghana is now battling with a total of 5,093 active cases.

The president of the republic of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is in two weeks isolation after he got in contact with a close person who has tested positive. The former president John Agyekum Kufour and wife are also in isolation after their security tested positive to the virus. Several high profiles in Ghana have tested positive and a couple lost their lives.
