“I Will Justify The Confidence Reposed In Me” (AUDIO) – Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang Assures NDC

The running mate for the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Prof. Jane Naana Opkoku – Agyemang has assured her party supporters, faithfuls, and sympathisers that she would go all out to justify the confidence the noble party has reposed in her as the first female running mate for the party to win the upcoming December 7 general election.

The former education minister under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama led NDC administration rendered her utmost gratitude to the party, for the decision of making her the running mate.

She made this known when making her first public pronouncement after winning the bid as the running mate when addressing a retreat of the NDC’s campaign team, today 11th July 2020.

She was again gratified with the keen interest that greeted her announcement as the running mate which awashed social media and all media platforms from Monday till now.

She used the opportunity to call on all ranks and file of the party to work in unism and not be distracted to focus on winning election 2020.

“This is a decision that has excited many. A decision that we intend to turn into reality and this group has a big role to play. I’m very impressed by what I’ve seen so far. All of us together regardless where we are. All of us with our eyes focused on the prize. We know that in the spirit of the NDC, we are capable of working hard and we will work hard. We would not be distracted. We will justify the confidence reposed in us and by God’s grace we shall succeed” – Prof. Opoku-Agyemang assured.

She acknowledged the enormous support from the academia, civil societies, professional and women groups upon her nomination as the running mate. She is the first female vice chancellor for the University of Cape Coast and that made her the first female vice chancellor for a public university in Ghana.
