I’m Expecting The Police To Go All Out And Use Akuapem Poloo As A Scape Goat – Lawyer Maurice Ampaw

A very popular Ghanaian human rights activist cum legal practitioner, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has revealed that he expects the Ghana Police Service to take on Akwapim Poloo and use her as a scape goat to serve as deterrent to other celebrities.

The actress cum socialite, Rosemond Alade Brown a.k.a Akuapem Polooposted a nude picture of herself and son to celebrate the latter’s birthday on social media. This attitude has since been heavily criticized on all forms of platforms and this time around lawyer Maurice Ampaw wades in with legal arguments.

According to the legal practitioner, the demonstration of Akwapim Poloo breaches two laws of the country. He revealed that the pursuant to section 180 of the criminal offenses act 1960 (Act 29), she breaches the laws on nudity and obscenity which is criminal.

He made this revelation on Ahosepe, an entertainment show on Adom Tv, a Ghanaian based local tv station today, July 1 2020.

“It is an offence. If you chect section 180 of the criminal offenses Act 1960 (Act 29) clearly it’s stated that anyone who engages in nudity and obscenity is two offenses. what is more dangerous is bringing the picture out and it’s a crime. She must be jailed. The police should jail her to serve as a deterrent to other celebrities”

The outspoken legal practitioner added that Police should go after those who publish their nudes on social media as well. However, he advised that women who bath with their kids should stop since it’s also criminal and they can be arrested same as men who bath with their kids.
