Mahama Replies Those Attacking Prof Jane Naana Opoku – Agyemang

The former president of Ghana and flag-bearer of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, former president John Dramani Mahama has waded into the unprofessional attacks by members of the New Patriotic Party, NPP on Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang after her pronouncements as his running mate.

According to former president Mahama it’s unfortunate notable members of NPP have suddenly reigned series of attacks on the Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang just because of her gender.

Addressing the NDC faithfuls, supporters and sympathisers today, 27th July 2020 at a ceremony organised by the party at the UPSA to oudoor Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang as the running mate for the party in the upcoming December election, the first female running mate for NDC accepted the nomination and added that she is onboard as a team player to help NDC recapture power and to reinstate John Mahama as the nation’s president once more after the election.

The likes of the majority leader Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu. the NPP communcation Director, and MP for Adentan, Hon. Buaben Asamoah, the Ashanti regional chairman of NPP, chairman Wontumi have all made unpleasant comments about the able and respected personality. however, they have all been chastised not only by NDC members but also the technocrats, CSOs and women groups in Ghana and the globe at large as their comments stinks on the human beings.

Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang took turn and used the opportunity to express how gratified she is to the ranks and file of the party for their unanimous endorsement for her nomination. However, she promised never to disappoint the great party for the confidence reposed in her.

The theme for the ceremony is Rescue Mission as they surge forward to beating Nana Addo and NPP in the December 7 general election.
