The former president of Ghana and flag-bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, John Dramani Mahama has promised to treat Assembly members well when given the nod by the electorate to lead the nation once again as the president in the December 7 2020 polls.

While an appreciable number of NDC faithfuls embrace the promises, the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, has laughed at the promises to assume such promises cannot be fulfilled by the the former president assuming they are good promises.

Nana Kofi Akomea, an astute member of the NPP who doubles as the Greater Accra regional treasurer for Nana Bawumia Movement has waded into the conversation to liken the former president and NDC flagbearer as one who is quick to talk, quick to promise without fulfillment and therefore should not be taken serious when next he promises.

“The problem i have for Mahama is that Mahama is quick to talk, quick to promise and i don’t fault him because all his life he studied communication and speaking is not difficult for him. Talk is cheap. If his promises are anything to go by, he promised to give 40% appointments to women but could provide less than 18%. All his promises are going to end up like SADA, it’s going to end up like GEEDA, it will end up like ISOFOTON. All those projects, name it Don’t we know him? We can’t take his promises as serious” – Nana Kofi Akomea said.

He added there were a lot of opportunities given Mahama to proof his worth and failed Ghanaians so Ghanaians should not dare give him another opportunity to lead the nation citing One time Premium, 200 SHS and others as failed promise
