Abuakwa South: MP and MCE Commission Ultramodern 6 Unit Classroom Block And 2 Zonal Offices

As part of eradicating school under trees and cushioning the comfort in the basic school with respect to the approach of the ruling New Partriotic Party, the member of parliament for Abuakwa South who doubles as the minister for works and housing, Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea together with his ever hardworking municipal chief executive, Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo have commisioned a 6 unit classroom block and two zonal offices in the municipal.

The ceremony to commission all the three projects built in this administration was held on friday, August 28 2020 at Ankaase, Akyem Asafo and Akyem Apedwa.

The ultramodern six unit classroom block together with a WC toilet facility was built and commissioned at Ankaase while the other two zonal offices were built and commissioned at Akyem Asafo and Akyem Apedwa.

Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea used the occasion to appeal to the residents to consider voting for the the NPP, especially, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for him to continue what he has started. According to him, the president of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has built the foundation of development in the country and these communities are not exempted for which reason he deserves another term. He advised the communities and authorities to practice maintenance culture in order to protect the facility.

The Municipal Chief executive, Hon. Kojo Ofori – Safo also acknowledged his MP for the success story and revealed that building schools and giving pupils the most comfortable environment are one of the topmost priorities of president Akufo-Addo and also urged the gathering to vote for Nana Akufo – Addo come December 7 2020. Again, he added that the zonal council offices are necessary in local governance and believes what they have commissioned would not deviate from the main aim of building the projects.

Osabarima Adu Asare Bosompem, Chief of Maase was the chairperson at the ceremony at Ankaase. He used the occasion to bless the MP, MCE and of-course government for remembering their community in disbursement of development. Mr Emmanuel Amoh, head of monitoring and evaluation represented the municipal education director.

Barima Darkwanin II, chief of Akyem Asafo also chaired the ceremony at Akyem Asafo and his gratitude to government for benefiting from the national cake.

The climax of the ceremony took place at Akyem Apedwa, where the chief of Nkronso, Osabarima Danso Abeam who was supported by his fellow chief of Wirenkyiren Amanfrom, Barima Ofosuhene IV among other dignitaries. Osabarima Danso Abeam revealed that it is time to support their own and called on the gathering not to make any mistake in the upcoming general election.

The municipal coordinating director, Mrs Vera Akuffo and some staff of the municipal assembly including Assembly members were present at all the ceremonies. The NPP executives of Abuakwa South constituency led by Mr Boakye Yiadom accompanied their MP and MCE also to all the ceremonies.
