With less than 100 days to the general elections in Ghana where all political parties are poised at doing everything humanly possibly to win the election, the Ayawaso West Wuogon of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, is no difference.
With confidence reposed in the capabilities of the zongo communities with respect to election, the Ayawaso West Wuogon NDC has inaugurated Zongo working caucus to help the party win the election for the first time in that constituency.
In a charged and determined atmosphere, the parliamentary candidate for the said party, NDC, John Dumelo called on all to get involved and work in unison for without which they cannot win. In as much as the party will not leave any stone unturned in the constituency, i.e. to do everything possible to switch the seat for the first time from the governing NPP, he believes the only thing that can stop them from winning is the internal wranglings.
“We are not sleeping until we get the last ballot paper counted and till we are declared winners in Ayawaso West Wuogon. And i know that in every community the zongo community is very powerful so if you don’t have the zongo community on your side, forget it. Nothing will work for you. One thing that stops us from winning is the small arguments here and there.” – Parliamentary Member aspirant, John Dumelo reveals.
