Fanteakwa South: 23 Projects Initiated, 13 Completed, 10 Ongoing, 2 False Claims Revealed

Innovation in terms of digitization in governance cannot be taken away from the governing New Patriotic Party, NPP as the vice president of Ghana and running mate of NPP, H.E. Dr Mahamoud Bawumia recently launched delivery tracker website to showcase the infrastructure achievements of the party after barely four years in office.

Though the achievements have raised so many deliberations and has also given job to the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC led by the National communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi to bring to known some false claims in the NPP infrastructure achievements.

However, in the fanteakwa south district in the eastern region, a district carved from the parent fanteakwa district has initiated 23 projects i.e. district with the least project initiated as revealed by the delivery track. It has therefore stated that 13 of the said projects are completed while 10 are ongoing.

Many questions which need answers are raised on adding a health facility at Saamang in the same district as achievement of the party, meanwhile residents of fanteakwa south are in the known that the said health facility was funded and built by KIA Green Light through World Vision Ghana, as part of its efforts at enhancing general healthcare delivery, especially in rural areas. The NGO constructed and commissioned the clinic for Saamang community in the Fanteakwa South district of the Eastern Region on 10th November, 2019.

Constructed at a cost of one million, six hundred and four thousand, eight hundred and thirty-four Ghana Cedis (GHS 1, 604, 834.00), it was fully funded by KIA Motors, Korea through its KIA Green Light Project, a five-year health project. The clinic comprises of a maternity ward, labour ward, dispensary unit, washrooms for both staff and patients, laboratory, dressing room, injection room and a consultation room, among others.

Meanwhile, the governing New Patriotic Party through its delivery track has claimed it as one of its achievements.

Again, the delivery track made known of a warehouse built in the fanteakwa district meanwhile its in Begoro in the fanteakwa north district. This we can say it’s an unplanned error.

At Nsutam, it is again known to the residents that a mining company, i.e. Narawa Mining company Ltd is building a classroom block for the Islamic school but it’s also recorded as a project of the government.

In as much as there is no renovation of roads in the district, there is also claims that some roads are being constructed. Nonetheless, new roads are being constructed.

Anyways, they are all for the good of the communities in the district, but records must be set straight though the vice president, Dr Bawumia has admitted the mistakes they have made.

The National Democratic Congress has also revealed 53 untruths about the infrastructure achievements.
