As December 7 2020 general election fast approaches, the former president of Ghana and flag-bearer of NDC, John Dramani Mahama has revealed the mistake in the current Akufo-Addo led NPP administration that would send them to opposition.

Speaking at the palace of the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, in Ho as part of the his four-day tour of the Volta Region, Mr John Dramani Mahama confidently states that the current administration has failed Ghanaians and pointed out the mistakes he believes would send them to opposition.

He revealed that the NPP after assuming office made a big mistake by sacking all contractors which halted all ongoing projects in the country adding that most of them out of frustration have lost their lives and others have the properties taken over by their bankers.

“Governance is based on planning and common sense. There are certain decisions you take that would be inimical to the growth and prosperity of your economy. And yet because of political shortsightedness, because of political victimization, this government has taken decisions that are aimed at penalizing their political opponents but in the end, it has affected the growth and prosperity of the economy. The first mistake they made was to suspend all government’s contracts and refused to pay contractors. Togbe, as i speak some contractors have died without been paid their legitimate money. Others had mortgages on their houses and because they lost their jobs they can no longer pay and their houses have been repossessed” – Mahama said.
