A toddler of about 3 years old was electrocuted yesterday at Anyinam in the Atiwa East district in the eastern region and confirmed dead today at Enyiresi government hospital.

According to reports emanating from eyewitnesses, light pole wire in a suburb of Anyinam got torn yesterday and the innocent 3 year old child got trapped even as there were several calls made to ECG to draw their attention to the danger it could cause.

Eyewitnesses added that the Electricity company of Ghana i.e. ECG looked unconcerned and did nothing about the report till after it was again reported to them that the child is electrocuted.

After the electrocution, it took ECG not more than 30 minutes to fix the problem.
