Abuakwa South NPP Successfully Inaugurates Campaign Team With MP and MCE As Co-Chairs Ahead Of Dec 7

As the governing New Patriotic Party, NPP is poised at maintaining a majority in parliament and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the president of the republic of Ghana, campaign teams are set up in the various constituencies across Ghana and Abuakwa South constituency, home of president Akufo-Addo is not left out.
In a colorful ceremony by the party to inaugurate the campaign team at Yaa Asantewaa Hotel in Kyebi, the member of parliament and candidate in the upcoming election, Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea together with the municipal Chief Executive, MCE are made co-chairpersons of the campaign team.
All constituency executives are part of the team, however, the party added IT specialist, Security and intelligence, V20 coordinator (i.e. representative from the party’s volunteer groups) and resource and most influential personality.
The campaign team was inaugurated by the eastern regional executives led by the second vice chairman, Barimah Twum Koranteng and ushered them into doing marvelously well to improve 2016 NPP results.

Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo, MCE took chance and revealed that he would commit his whole life into the campaign and ensure the party retains power in order to widen the 2016 margin. He again pledged his financial commitment to the campaign team.
The parliamentary candidate and co-chairperson, Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea advised that they all work in unity to help secure the seat and give the president another four more years to do more. He added that the Abuakwa south constituency would be the datum for interrogations in this year’s election and so urged them to work assiduously to achieve their target. He sets a target of securing 95% of votes for the president.
In 2016, president Akufo-Addo won with 29,194 votes representing 80.88% while the John Dramani Mahama got 6,714 votes which also represents 18.60%. The parliamentary candiadate, Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea got 28,449 representing 78.71% as against the NDC’s (Owuraku Amofah) 7,694 votes also representing 21.29%.
