Another Bridge Collapses In Fanteakwa South, Residents Use Coconut Stem As Slabs On A Major Road

Road networks in eastern region though is not the best but has seen some improvement in the past eight (8) years.

While some towns, villages, cottages and communities are benefitting from tarred roads, same cannot be said in the Fanteakwa south district in the eastern region.

Another bridge on Osino to Bosuso road has collapsed and the residents have resorted to using coconut stems as slabs on the bridge in the major road because no attention is given to it.

This is the second time in a month a bridge has collapsed. Fortunately and unfortunately, this bridge is part of the bridges recently built as the road is still under construction.

The said bridge is at ‘Bonkame’,

In Fanteakwa south district the only tarred road you see is the high way the links Accra to Kumasi and that of Bunso junction to Begoro, all main streets. The other tarred is Nsutam community, courtesy Nana Akomeah of STC.

That not alone, the other road infrastructure are reportedly captured as ongoing; that which links Osino to Bosuso, and that of Osino to Saaman – Juaso.

As a stronghold of NPP, more is expected of the president as well as the member of parliament.

The member of Parliament and the district chief executive must wake up because FANTEAKWA south residents deserve the best.
