Covid-19: 5 In Critical Condition, After Recording 125 New Cases In 24 Hours

As the measures to mitigate the effects of the deadly coronavirus pandemic are eased in Ghana, citizens walk around unconcerned, as if the deadly novel Covid-19 is does not exist.

However, new cases are recorded day after day, and currently the cumulative cases in Ghana hits 45,313 after recording 125 new cases within 24 hours.

The good news is that 44,188 have fully recovered and discharged leaving the nation to contend with 842 active cases after losing 283 beautiful souls to the deadly novel Covid-19. Out of the 842 active cases, 5 are in critical or serious conditions.

So far, Ghana is has tested 450,872 people and is the seventh most hit country in Africa but first in the best recovery rates.

Four regions have closed cases and they are; Upper East, Upper West, Savannah and North East Region. Northern region and Bono region are also battling with one (1) case each.

Below is the regional breakdown of Cumulative Cases per Region in Ghana (Case Count from Highest to Lowest);

Greater Accra Region – 22,813

Ashanti Region – 10,909

Western Region – 2,963

Eastern Region – 2,388

Central Region – 1,904

Bono East Region – 777

Volta Region – 668

Western North Region – 638

Northern Region – 528

Ahafo Region – 524

Bono Region – 511

Upper East Region – 282

Oti Region – 237

Upper West Region – 90

Savannah Region – 62

North East Region – 19
