The eastern regional Communication officer for the opposition National Democratic congress, NDC, Williams Ampomah Darlas has skockingly revealed that the Akufo-Addo led NPP government has totally failed the citizens and residents of the eastern region.
According to the communicator, upon the 21 promises of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo prior to 2016 election, Nana Akufo – Adoo has executed only three of the promises.
Speaking at the maiden edition of the party’s ‘Efie Nye Series’ in the eastern region at the regional headquarters in Koforidua, the regional communication officer, said only three promises of the president are either delivered, partially delivered or ongoing.
According to him, the only delivered promise from the NPP’s 2016 manifesto for eastern region is the construction of a modern large seating theatre in the Each Region (Eastern Region) whereas the establishment of a Middle Belt Development Authority to develop the Eastern, Ashanti, Northern Volta (now Oti), Brong Ahafo and Western North Regions is partially delivered.

However, the ongoing project which was not in the manifesto is Build a Tema Akosombo Rail Link to tie in with a vibrant and revived Volta lake transportation system.
Below are some of the alleged promises the NDC claims the Akufo-Addo led NPP has failed in execution;
- construct a suspension bridge on afram river.
- Provide a modern multisport stadium in the Eastern Region.
