Election 2020: Abuakwa South NDC Parliamentary Candidate Steps Down Barely Two Months To Election

The aspiring member of Parliament for the Abuakwa South constituency on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC in the upcoming 2020 general elections, Addo Aikins Sarpong has stepped down from the competition.
The constituency chairman for the party Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed, simultaneously steps in as the parliamentary candidate to wrestle the seat with the NPP’s Hon. Atta Akyea who doubles as the works and housing minister.
The Abuakwa South constituency has since been a stronghold of the NPP and it’s the president’s constituency.
In a ceremonial program to formerly disclose the intent at Kyebi, Mr. Addo Aikins Sarpong junior revealed that he is not bigger than the party and the overall decision of the party is paramount and for which reason he wholeheartedly without pain, malice or anger steps down but is dedicated to putting in all his efforts to support Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed who steps in as the parliamentary candidate and the John and Jane ticket in the upcoming election.

Speaking at the program when outdooring him to the electorate in front of the party office in an interview with Nana Addo (Fellow Ghanaians) of radio 1, he said his nephew Addo Aikins sarpong has not faulted but upon thorough deliberations and research, the party has concluded that the 2016 parliamentary candidate steps in again to win the seat for the NDC.
In 2012 Alhaji Sanusi was the constituency Parliament Candidate on the ticket of NDC and polled about 6,000 votes will battle Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea, the incumbent MP, who doubles as work and Housing minister in Nana -Bawumia led NPP administration.
