Contractors Inspect Parcel Of Land Released By Chiefs To Construct Fanteakwa South District Hospital

The wait and doubt is over, as the fanteakwa south district in the eastern region, a newly created district carved from the parent fanteakwa district has now been captured in the president’s district hospitals in the newly created districts across the country.

Chiefs and traditional authorities in the district led by Osabarima Otu Darko IV, chief of Osino have released 18 parcels of land for the immediate construction of the much awaited district hospital.

With a delegation of the District Chief Executive, DCE of fanteakwa South, Hon. Kwasi Ntori Adjabeng, Dr Daniel Amaning Danquah (deputy registrar in charge of operations), staff of the assembly and plot allocation committee members in Osino led the representatives of Barbisotti and Sons Ltd to the site for survey or inspection.

The DCE expressed gratitude to the president of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo for adding fanteakwa south to the beneficiaries and also thanked the chief of Osino, Osabarima Otu Darko IV, Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum, (MP for fanteakwa South), Dr Daniel Amaning Danquah for their immense contribution for achieving that glory. He therefore urged the contractors to fast-track their processes for the commencement of the facility even as they are putting up measures to compensate the land owners.

The contractors, Barbisotti and Sons Ltd also led by one Mr Agyemang was okayed with the site especially with its topography and its nearness to electricity and road.

Osabarima Otu Darko IV, advised that the contractors use the citizens of fanteakwa south as a means of providing employment for his people. He therefore assured them of his full support through start to finish.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has announced the construction of hospitals in some 88 districts across the country and has reiterated on numerous platforms.
