Who Owns The Land: Osino Chief, MP, in Court Today Over One Plot Of Land

Who owns the land? The misunderstanding and total disagreement with regards to who owns one plot of land in Akyem Osino in the fanteakwa South district in the eastern region has resulted in the Member of parliament of the area, Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum dragging the chief of Osino, his hometown chief, Osabarima Otu Darko IV to the Koforidua High Court and court preceedings start today.
The plaintiff being the member of parliament seeks judgment from the competent court of jurisdiction over a plot of land he claims the chief, Osabarima Otu Darko IV, has unlawfully seized.
According to the suit, the said plot was acquired by by the plaintiff in 2008 with the intent of building an NPP office and Youth Skills development center at a time he was not even a member of parliament.
However, he sees a building being erected on his land and for which reason he sues the Chief and the contractor as the second defendant after securing injunction on the building.

The said contractor, Mr Joseph Amoafo Danquah, is the managing director of Quality System Construction Ltd is also an ardent member of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
