Fear of being robbed or killed on the way has posed a lot of restrictions in traveling to some communities in the eastern region of Ghana.
While some Ghana citizens are free to move around any day, any time, any where, it is not as so in some communities in the fanteakwa north district in the eastern region.
From Begoro, the district capital of fanteakwa North to Abuorso, Odorntom, Samuer, Dominase, Through to Deedeso, Mpanmu, residents, commuters, travellers, and market women have no option than to seek the services of the Ghana police service for escort before they are sometimes safe when using that route.
Barely a day without armed robbery, theft, burglary, and the likes in these communities.

The saddest aspect is that, these communities have no access to telecommunication networks and therefore cannot report on incidents or happenings in the communities.
Not only is that enough, they also lack access roads and other infrastructure.
However, these communities are the leading producers of vegetables in the district and other food stuffs. They are also hubs of fishes in the district. The earlier they are attended to, the better for them.
