Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, national chairman for opposition NDC has descended on the member of parliament for Abuakwa South constituency in the eastern region, who doubles as the minister for works and housing, Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea as part of his unannounced tour in the constituency.
Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has asked the citizens of Akyem Adukrom to Tell the minister who seeks another term as MP for the constituency that he (Hon. Atta Akyea) does not deserve to be a member of parliament for the constituency anymore.
His reaction is as a response to the minister’s alleged comments he made in Adukrom as part of his campaign tour that the citizens of Adukrom have made Chairman Ofosu Ampofo their “God” for which reason they vote for the NDC.
Chairman Ofosu Ampofo who could not fathom why the MP cum minister could not boast of any development in the community such that all developmental projects in the community were built by the NDC administration.

“Tell Atta Akyea he does not deserve to be an MP for Abuakwa South again. If he could not supply just a cup of water for the people of Akyem Adukrom what else can he do. He doesn’t respect the people of Akyem Adukrom. If he does, he wouldn’t have excluded Akyem Adukrom when distributing street lights to the communities in the constituency. So tell him he doesn’t deserve to be an MP again” – Samuel Ofosu Ampofo said.
More so, “he is the minister of works and housing, tell me who he has employed in this community or anyone he has sent to the school” – Ofosu Ampofo quizzed.
He therefore used the opportunity to appeal to the people to Akyem Adukrom to vote for the NDC come December 7 so they benefit from the national cake.
