The national chairman for the largest opposition political party in Ghana, the National Democratic Congress, NDC, Hon. Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has waded into political parties as well as individual politians using money to buy votes in the upcoming general election.
According to the vociferous national chairman of NDC, taking money to vote is indirectly taking bribe and consequently being in slavery for another four years.
Speaking with the good people of Kyebi in the Abuakwa South constituency in the eastern region on Saturday, 28th November 2020 with a massive gathering of the NDC supporters, faithfuls and sympathizers, Hon. Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo appealed to the gathering that they shouldn’t be swayed by the numerous monies being offered them.
He therefore advised that even if they take the money, they should not vote for them rather, they should vote for former president Mahama and his parliamentary candidate.

“If you take money to vote, It means you are going into slavery for the next 4 years. They won’t mind you again because they’ll tell you they gave you money before voting. We will not do that. President Mahama will not share money for votes. Mahama does not know how to share money to bribe people to vote. He knows how to share development projects. We will share development projects to reach every crook and cranny of the country.” – Chairman Ofosu Ampofo.
His responds was to address the rumours that his opponents are now into vote buying campaigns.
He then assured the gathering that should NDC wins power in the December 7 polls, every community will have it’s share of the national cake without any discrimination.
Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo once again, revealed that virtually all development projects in the constituency were done by the NDC government and therefore called on them to re-elect former president John Dramani Mahama and the NDC’s parliamentary candidate, Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed come December, 2020.
