Persons with disability in the Abuakwa South Municipality in the eastern region have once again received items worth eighty five thousand Ghana cedis (₵85,000.00) from the Assembly.

In all, 35 persons with disability benefited this time around as indicated by the municipal chief executive in his speech.

“Government has committed ₵85,000 to purchase items for Persons with disability in Abuakwa south municipality. The aim of government is to teach them how to fish not how to eat. So upon our interrogation with them 35 persons will benefit in this disbursement and it is based on their requests. Out of the 35 beneficiaries, 28 will take home items for trade, 3 also will have training fees (school fees) while four others will have theirs as medical assistance. This clearly shows government’s intention of teaching you how to fish”. – Hon. Kojo Ofori-safo said.
