Fanteakwa South NPP Expresses Heartfelt Condolence To The Family Of The Late Dr Jones Ofori Atta

The families of the president and the finance minister of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Ken Ofori Atta respectively grief for the demise of a special backbone in the family, father of finance minister, the late Jones Andrews Amoako Atta Ofori Atta who died on 30th November, 2020.

The late member of the ruling NPP was once member of Parliament for Begoro constituency and had been deputy finance minister in Ghana.

His contributions to the then Begoro constituency, now Fanteakwa cannot be eroded. He died at 86 years.

“Our heartfelt condolences to the family on the passing on of Dr. Jones Ofori Atta. He will be remembered as the first Member of Parliament of FANTEAKWA from 1969 to 1972. Apart from his role as the legislature in the Ghana’s Second Republic, through his efforts, he was able to construct tarred roads from Bosuso to Osino, Osino to Juaso, development of New Nsutam township and many more.

It is our fervent prayer that, God Almighty will continue to uplift the spirit of the family and comfort them at this difficult time. Dr. Jones Ofori Atta, the First member of Parliament for FANTEAKWA, Damirifa Due.” – the release reads.
