Let make the festive season disaster-free – NADMO

The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has urge Ghanaians to make this festive season disaster-free.

Speaking on Radio 1’s ‘Our Land Our Future’ program, Mr. Alexander Sackey zonal director of NADMO Abuakwa South said we should all do our best to avoid disaster this festive season.

“Let put family and friends first this festive season and let avoid anything that might cause disaster. Let all adhere to all COVID-19 protocols. Protecting yourself makes our work easy.”

Aside from the individual protection, Mr. Sackey assured that response agencies like the Fire Service, among others, will be up to the task should there be any disaster.

“We are ready to respond. The other agencies are also ready to respond and we know as to what exactly the protocols are should it happen,” he stated.

He added that his outfit will do its best to ensure that lives and properties are protected during and after the festive season.

The disaster management organization asking the general public to joyfully celebrate the festive season while observing safety procedures to avert any incidents.
