Vote Buying Hits Fanteakwa South As One Electorate Receives Dirty Slap

In the ongoing general election in Ghana, electorate of Fanteakwa South constituency are allegedly hit with votes buying to induce voting.

The alleged process is said to have brought chaos in the constituency, particularly, NSUTAM SHS.

In an interview with our reporter, she revealed that the supporters of the incumbent member of Parliament, Hon. Okyere Kofi Agyekum who doubles as the parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the NPP, are secretly hiding in NSUTECH dining hall and allegedly paying the electorate ₵50 to induce their votes.

This process also forced the electorate to take picture of their ballots after voting to claim the ₵50.

That did not go down well with the supporters of the other opponents and eventually ended in chaos.

So far one electorate was slapped by an alleged supporter of the independent candidate. The process is not only disrupted by the chaos but also rainfall.

Officials of the electoral commission have suspended the process for now to ensure calm returns.
