KroMA MCE Cited In Demolishing Citizen’s Wall After A Day Warning Notice At Nungua

Residents and citizens of Nungua in the Krowor Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra region have registered their displeasure towards their Municipal Chief Executive, MCE, Hon. Joshua Nii Bortey for deliberate demolition of authorized walls and buildings of residents only after a day’s notice to remove them.
The affected residents in an interview with Citizen Kofi Wusu of Ahotor Fm and monitored by todayaccuracy.com revealed that they are highly disappointed in their MCE for the unsuspected act.
According to them, the office Hon. Joshua Nii Bortey served them a notice and in less than 24 hours, an estate developer demolished their walls only to pave way to construct road to his site.
“We have building permits and our walls and buildings are authorized but because the estate developer has more money and by the endorsement of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Joshua Nii Bortey, they have demolished our buildings in less than 24 hours after serving warning notice.” – aggrieved residents said.

They further called on the president of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to as a matter of urgency come to their aid for the poor is being maltreated by the rich in Nungua.
