After 2 years of the appointment of Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo as the Municipal chief executive for Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly, home of the president, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, citizens and residents of the municipality have appreciated the enormous developmental projects in the municipality.
For this reason, Chiefs and Elders of Akyem Abuakwa South Municipality in the Eastern Region of Ghana have cautioned the General public on a false allegation over a plot against the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo and therefore call on the president to reappoint Hon. Kojo Ofori-Safo to continue and complete what he started.
According to the Chief of Kyebi Afiasan and also the Akyeame Hene of the AKyem Abuakwa Amantoa Mmeansa, Osabarima Otafregya Agyeman kumani II, every year, chiefs and elders in the municipality meets all heads of government institutions, the police commander, heads of schools, the educational director, and other relevant stakeholders to discuss and find solutions to matters confronting the municipality and also seek the development of the area.
With this idea, some people misled and misquoted the content of the meeting.

Osabarima Otafregya Agyeman kumani II explained to the media, their motive as rulers of Akyem Abuakwa land had no bad intension but rather to always seek for the welfare, progress and the development of their people and also touched on some developmental project which they think if their municipal chief executive (MCE), Hon. Kojo Ofori Safo is given the mandate one’s again together with their member of parliament, Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea, there will be a massive development in their area.
However, Osabarima Otafregya Agyeman kumani II also advised government and state authorities to be vigilant over fake people who disseminate information and write letters to damage the integrity of honorable one’s especially this moment of government appointing MMDCE’s.
Again, the Assembly Member of Akyem Apedwa and Coordinator for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Asawase Breman electoral area, Hon. Awuah Kotoko on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Kojo Ofori Safo pleaded and appealed to the president, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo to consider and re-appoint their MCE again in his current administration for more development.
